Getting Employees Ready for the CCST Exam

Keep your entry-level instrumentation mechanics or experienced electricians OSHA compliant with Training Technology's motor control courses. Your team will learn about the construction, operation, as well as how to avoid the hazards associated with their job.

Introduction to Industrial Process Measurement

Industrial process measurement is one of three courses developed to assist the individual to have the knowledge necessary to pass the international society for measurement and controls (ISA) certified control system technician exam (CCST).

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to do the following:

  • Determine the Manipulated Variable, Controlled Variable, & the Measured Variable Given a Description of Various Typical Industrial Processes
  • Convert a Pressure, Level, Flow, or Temperature Process Variable Value into the Appropriate Pneumatic or Electrical Value Given Different Types of Instruments
  • Identify the Electrical Variable That Is Either Directly or Inferentially Used by Various Instruments to Determine the Value of a Measured Variable
  • Calibrate Various Types of Instruments & Transmitters Using ISA Industrial Consensus Standard Techniques
Pressure Gauges and Valves

Introduction to Industrial Process Control:

Industrial Process Control is one of three courses developed to assist the individual to have the knowledge necessary to pass the International Society for Measurement and Control's (ISA) certified control system technician exam (CCST).

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, the participant should be able to do the following:

  • Identify & Use the ANSI/ISA-S5.1 Consensus Industrial Standard Process Symbols
  • Troubleshoot to the Device Level Basic Process Control Systems Given Either the Process & Instrumentation Diagram &/or the Instrument Loop Diagram
  • Use Several Different Tuning Strategies to Effectively Tune a Process Controller Given a Software Simulated Single Loop Controller
  • Perform the Required Calculations to Find Typical Process Control Parameters Given a Software Simulated Single Loop Controller Configured in Either Proportional, Proportional & Integral, Proportional & Derivative, or Proportional & Integral & Derivative Modes
